Excellent app

It is definitely an accurate sound level meter. Compared with my handheld digital SPL meter, its reading is very close, about +/- 1dB and quite consistent, over many sound levels.

For my curiosity,I tested under various conditions and it is consistent thru-out.I have not tested at extreme end those - I hope not get into that env either!
The most thing I like about this app is its dual functions of monitoring safe hearing based on OSHA guidelines and it is in-fact a valuable one. I checked all my kid toys and fortunately all turn out safe.

The flashing alert should be excellent use for party goers and I did not realize that hearing loss cause by sound is permanent With iPhone, I do have a great tool at anytime to monitor for exceeded sound level anywhere.

In summary, it is a very well worth app to keep for two dollars...
